Yvonne's Weekend Kitchen is owned and operated by Yvonne Scherrer in West Taghkanic, NY. Since opening she has treated every customer like they were a part of her family with her personal and exquisite touch.
Her cuisine has been savored by many food lovers.
Repeatedly praised by the press she has been reviewed in Gourmet Magazine, The New York Times, The New York Post, Town and Country and New York Magazine.
Yvonne is a business woman, chef, mother and guru to all. Born in Mandeville Jamaica, West Indies, at 15-years she pleaded with her mother to go to New York City.
After receiving a degree as a Dietitian, she was seduced into the world of international modeling landed several commercials and a successful career traveling to Paris, Munich, Italy and Berlin.
Struggling with the fact that she wanted more out of life, she became a stewardess for Pan Am Airlines. Traveling the world, she enjoyed the opportunity to dine and experience the most interesting cuisine where she developed her taste for good life and great food.
